In the US, we often celebrate Independence Day with cookouts and gatherings of family and friends.
Many towns or cities have fireworks.
Fortunately, for my blog, Portsmouth, NH has fireworks on July 3.

Happy Fourth!! We went to Durham tonight to see the fireworks - they were awesome! Looks from your photos like Portsmouth was great too!!

Great images! Yes, a great Fourth here, too. We are just home from Cincinnati Pops at Riverbend "Red, White, and Boom!"
A quiet day for us here but we could hear the booms all around....love the historic homes.
I saw some of those fireworks from across the water. I was on the beach at Garrish Island - our family party had a few small fireworks. It was a wonderful evening. Then the next night Ogunquit had its fireworks. More booms and bangs and sparkles.
