The second clutch of chicks in the phoebe nest on our patio must be about to fly the coop.
Look at this crowded nest!!
Notice the open beaks.
The two adult phoebes have been hard at work catching flying insects to feed these guys.
I predict they'll leave the nest soon. This time I will be sure Bailey is not outside chasing phoebes during their first flights!!
The little phoebe Bailey pursued back in May made it to safety, but not without some tense moments for the phoebe parents and me! (Bailey, a bird-dog through and through, thought it was the best thing ever!)

How very sweet! Great images. :)
I've noticed a lot of juvenile birds at the feeders lately...it must be time to leave the nest!
I can just see Bailey honing in on those baby birds! You need a bumbleball with feathers on it! ;-)
Great shots. I'm with you, they look pretty ready.
Babies! I miss my bird babies but the family all came back around for a while.
