Early in the morning, 3 baby birds sat in the phoebe nest, one perched right on the edge.
We walked Bailey and his canine best friend.
When we returned,
two phoebes in the nest.
For the rest of the day, only one adult bird was near the nest. It spent less time feeding the birds in the nest than usual.
At dinner time, the two remaining phoebes flew from the nest all the way across the patio to the safety of the trees.
Yay! They're launched!!!
That phoebe pair worked super hard this summer raising two clutches of chicks. Hopefully they're regaining strength for their upcoming migration.

So cute they're on thier way!
We had that experience when I worked at the library - a nest right over our staff exit light. We were such proud parents.
I'm so excited. I just got permission to take pictures for a Colors of the Month post. I'm hopping up and down on one foot!
