Glacier and Yellowstone in Ten Pictures

Jim and I just hiked, photographed, and watched wildlife in Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks for two wonderful weeks.

For my local friends, I distilled the trip to 10 photos, which I printed and show to anyone who is willing to look (or who doesn't scurry away fast enough).

For my blog friends, here's the same set of photos:

Glacier

Yellowstone

I hope to say more, much more, about our wonderful trip in future blog posts.

Meanwhile, enjoy my uncharacteristic brevity!!

Il need to se more, much more!
Just love picture number 3,4 and the last one.
Il feel so small when I compare it whit those mountens and lakes.
Verry, verry nice photos.

Il hope all is well whit you and the summer has been nice and warm.
Here the fall has arrived. The fields are empty and they are plowing for next year.

Soon the mousehunt will start here. Then its best to keep out for hunters in the woods.
Its the time of the year I like most I think.

Hugs from Norway.

Breathtaking. I just love Glacier. Did you get into Whitefish? I see you saw mountain goats, aren't they stunning. I saw some from a fair distance at Glacier too.
Oh please, do give us a few more pics of the trip as you can.

Wow and thanks - those pictures are tremendous. The West has an active and vibrant geologic presence. I need to be reminded and to be thankful~

Do keep the travel pictures coming. I want to plan a National Parks trip - fantasy? I last visited Yellowstone in 1960 driving cross-country with a friend and her parents. My friend and I were returning to the East Coast after having lived in Seattle - in her case for 2 years, in my case for 8 months. Think of all the times that Old Faithful has erupted since then. It's like the tide.
