Recently, Leigh gave me this blog award:
The Rules Of This Award:
Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link. Pass the award to 5 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
5 Acres & A Dream is Leigh's new blog about her new-to-her home. She's already talking about various fiber-producing animals, so this will be interesting to follow.
Delighted Hands is a blog I just caught wind of recently. She spins, knits, quilts, sews and just purchased her first floor loom at the end of May!
Laura K. Aiken's blog shows her amazing mosaics....The real deal mosaics installed in floors of churches, at corporate offices and such. I love mosaic and it's cool to see some one blog about it! (Plus she's friendly and nice!)
On the local blogging front, I've started following Penny-Wise People and Living the Local Life. I've saved lots of money thanks to the tips on Penny-Wise People, and Living the Local Life keeps me up to date with farmer's market info and recipes.
Thanks for the award Leigh!!

Aw, thanks for the award! I'm enjoying following your blog as well!
I'll have to think of 5 people I can pass it on to....
I love these awards - they expose us to new blogs. I added a couple to my Bloglines - thanks. Ian and I are trying to decide whether or not to buy a CSA summer basket. My dentist would split it with us, but then I have a two-hour round trip on Tuesdays to do that. We too are committed to the Live Local idea and expect produce of our own in a month. That's the plan anyway.
Glad you found the award Virginia!
We had a CSA basket a few years ago. Even though it was just a 15 minute drive, I only did it that one summer because I didn't like being so tied down to that schedule every week. (It didn't help that it was an unusually dry summer so there wasn't much food in our share.)
I did really like experiencing first-hand what food is really available here at different times of year. In the farmer's market I can pick and choose, but the CSA brought it home to me in a different way.
Now if your two-hour round trip would take you near fabulous yarn shops......
Sue
What a nice surprise-thank you! It is good to have encouragement from the weaving 'experts'!
Congratulations on a well deserved award.
I love that so many people are buying what's in season locally. We are so luck!! In the summer you can't go a half mile without someone having a product stand with freshly grown fruits and veggies and a local farmers market open every Friday.
Thanks you guys!!
We've had so much rain this week - and it's supposed to be the start of strawberry season. If the sun comes out tomorrow, I might have to go in search of fresh strawberries. Although they might need a day or two of sun to ripen....not sure!

Sue thank you for the award. So nice of you. It made my day to know someone was reading my rambles! Your photos are beautiful, they give me so much inspiration...not to mention your weaving and all those yummie colors.
Laura.
Thank you for the award! I've loved reading your blog too - the photos you take are amazing, and the weaving you share is so beautiful! New Hampshire is such a fun, creative place to live - I'm really enjoying reading people's stories and ideas, and sharing my own too!
PS Fingers crossed for sunshine tomorrow - we need it!! :-)
