DPS: Commute

At Digital Photography School this week, the assignment is "Commute".

I used to drive 47 miles to work and 47 miles back home. I definitely could have taken pictures of that drive!

Now, since I'm pretty much a slacker, I don't commute.

Unless you count walking upstairs to my studio

Here I go

Bailey thinks his job is to guard the bird feeders and watch squirrels.

His commute is just walking out the back door (or dashing out if he thinks he can actually catch a squirrel).

Good dog, Bailey! Sass would get all excited if I said, "SQUIRREL!" She would be ready to leap out the door and defend her home! She never caught one, but the squirrels caught on to the back door being opened. Short commutes are good, BTW.

LOL, oh my, if I just think "squirrel" I have at least five of them racing for the door or windows. Chipmunk and kitty can be added to that also.
Much nicer commute than 47 miles. I hear you. I used to travel from Westminster MA to Waltham MA. A godawful drive down Route 2. Going upstairs to a studio is MUCH MUCH better.
Glad to see blue skies out for you. Is that a suitcase I see at the top of the commute?

It always cracks me up when a dog decides to join me in my studio. Their thundering up the stairs isn't exactly subtle. My commute was 40 miles, or so - don't miss it. Nope.

Love the commute....I wish I had that daily commute. But alas, no. And you certainly did your "time" so to speak.

Beautiful patio you have there....I could commute at there with the dog and be very happy.

I can see how it looks like a suitcase at the top of the stairs. It's actually the underside of my studio table.

Believe me, I love this short little commute!! If it gets warmer, I'll be outside with Bailey more than in the studio.

We just put in a dog door for him. He's still adjusting. Luckily it's pretty much the end of bird feeder season. (We're supposed to take them in or bears come and eat at our feeders. Scary and damaging and dangerous!)

Commutes are good because they help pay for yarn and looms!! Just sayin'!

My craft studio is upstairs too. I need to make the commute more often. :-)

Cute dog! :-)

Ah, short commutes are fantastic. I work from home too so just wander into the study whereas my husband travels about 3 hours a day to and from work. Guess who gets more sleep!
