Landscapes

Assignment: Landscapes at Digital Photography School

Lamprey River, Newmarket, NH

Luckily, when Jim and I took our photo safari for January colors, I also shot some landscapes I can use for this assignment! Who can resist the vistas at Wagon Hill Farm in Durham, NH? I'll have the January colors up soon.

We now have about a foot of new snow on top of the light snow-cover in these photos.

Each one could be a greeting card, though who sends those anymore? I've had some for years now.

Only in New England is the house attached to the barn. Reminds me of my days in Massachusetts -- actually near the NH border. I loved it there. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I love the contrast-cold and sharp-the low temperatures are evidenced int these shots!

You know - what I love about winter landscapes is that I seem to be able to see so much further. I'm sure part of it has to do with the leaves being gone, but also the snow gives continuity to the land and the sky is not hazy. There doesn't seem to be an end to a winter landscape.

Wonderful pictures. I have never been to your part of the country. It looks lovely and the house looks like a cozy place to be when the snow flies.
