Leading with Looms

My looms look like they're still recovering from New Year's Eve!

Toika Mother Liisa (predecessor of the Toika Liisa)

I am mightily resisting making a joke about tying on a few too many. (But not mightily enough I guess!)

Schacht Baby Wolf

For Meg at Unravelling's New Year's Day loom round-up, I'll lead off the new year with two of my favorite things!

Happy New Year to one and all!!

Happy New Year, Sue!! I love all the pictures and I can tell your loom is ready for you to keep on weaving.

Nothing like starting the year with a little loom laughter! Have a great new year, too.

They do look that way, poor dears. I loved the pictures of them frolicking in the last post!

Brrrr, good thing you've got a nice warm studio full of looms! And the scarves are a hoot - I hope they aren't still hung over...

I laughed out loud!
I love the look of potential of working looms waiting for the next warp. Quite different to sad, dusty, neglected looms.Yours look poised, ready to leap...

I disguised it well in this picture, but my secret Christmas present warp was still on my baby wolf this morning when I took the photo. I shot directly from the side so you couldn't see it, and played with the color to make the photo look kind of bleary eyed.

Now both looms are naked - the Christmas present weaving got done today!

I'll start winding a new warp for it tomorrow. It's all planned and the yarn is sitting upstairs waiting for me. My looms are indeed ready to pounce!

We're supposed to get huge snow this weekend....that might translate into more weaving time. (Or more shoveling time.)

Happy New Year!
Sue

Sue, what a lovely studio spot you have, and always lovely to see snow outside the window. It's never a good thing when it's on the inside. This I know.
The looms look quite recovered to me and the Toika is simply begging to be put to work! Can hardly wait to see some pics of those surprise Xmas items.
