One year ago today, I started blogging to publish details of my new-to-me Toika loom.
I had no idea that I'd discover a creative community and find so much friendship, fun, camaraderie and wisdom.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for commenting. Thanks for blogging and sharing your stories!!
To celebrate, I'm giving away these two huck towels that I wove based on a design by Rosalie Neilson. They're 100% cotton and make any kitchen a brighter, happier place.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment on this post by midnight on Dec. 15. I'll choose randomly on Dec. 16.
I'm taking a blog break this week, so I'll be back here on Dec. 16 to announce the winner!
Thank you all so much for such a fun first year!!!

Happy Anniversary! Wow, you blog better than someone who has only done it for a year. Enjoy your blog break, hope you'll be off having some holiday fun. Oh, and DON'T pick me for the towels, as beautiful as they are, pick someone who might not have handwoven towels in their possession. Besides,
they make me want to try huck myself and if I have some what's the fun in that? ;-)
Happy blogoversary! It doesn't even seem like a year yet. Congratulations!
congratulations! those towels are gorgeous, and you have a generous spirit to give them away!
Happy Blogoversary!!!
Don't add me to the give away either, hopefully someone will win that's not a weaver! They're beautiful towels - very cheery for winter days.
Congrats!!
Love the towels....they are beautiful.
Happy Anniversary. Your blog is terrific and the towels are fantastic. Handwoven towels would be a joy to have. Please enter me.
Jeanne
Happy Blogoversary! I remember when you first posted about those towels, simply because I thought they were so pretty.
Feliz Blogoversary! My wife, Kelly, would love those colors. EE, Robert
Well done. Blogging is an amazing thing. And even though I do weave, put me in the draw for the prize. I would love to have the real thing for inspiration - to touch and examine. Thanks for the opportunity.
When ever I write a post, you always leave such a chatty, interesting comment. You are like a good friend despite the miles that separate us.
It also helps you live in a place that is so beautiful and has names I recognise from my old country. :)
Then there's Bailey...my Connor would be best mates with him and boy, would they ever play!
Congratulations on your first year of being a part of the Blogiverse!
Susan
I guess your midnight is nog my midnight becourse of the time difference. I love the towels though, should weave some myselfe again someday. I love reading your blog, and thanks to you I started making a rag rug, unfortunately my loom is not strong enough for that I discovered. (I have a leclerc artistat)I can't beat as hard as I want to.
Hope you stay blogging for a long time and happy blogoversary
Isn't it amazing how quickly a year goes by? Congratulations, and I look forward to visiting for another year, and more. Lovely towels, too!
Congrats on your first year. You have been amazingly regular with your wonderful posts. Aside from the great weaving, I have really enjoyed your photo tours of the NH seacoast area. I learned to weave at UNH 30 years ago and spent many years in your area. It's great to revisit my old haunts through your pics.

Sue congratulations! Has it only been a year???? Seems like we've been blogging friends for longer than that!
Isn't it amazing how blogging changes your perspective? The world gets smaller and friends abound. So glad you are such a frequent poster-have a good week off!
I first discovered your blog while reading over my mother's shoulder (Delighted Hands)...although I feel a little funny for 'stalking' her blog-friends, I couldn't resist your beautiful pictures and projects and have followed your blog ever since! :) Happy blogoversary.
Happy Anniversary Sue and Bailey! It has been so much fun reading your blog and seeing your photos. I can't believe you have only been blogging for a year.

Happy Anniversary! Yours was one of the first weaving blogs I came across, and I check it regularly -- not only because of your informative, well-photographed posts, but because of the community that you have drawn to you in the comments. And your blogroll has become my required reading...it's introduced me to a wide world of weaving out there.
Thanks for being here!
I was so happy to find your blog - especially now that I am a weaver, in addition to a knitter and quilter.
I want to learn how to make towels that are that beautiful!
Happy blogoversary!!! I hope you keep on blogging for a long time - cause I learn a lot...and I enjoy your friendship.
Happy Blogaversary! And what a generous giveaway!
Merry Christmas!

Happy Anniversary! I envy your Toika loom...you must write more about the loom itself.
The towels are lovely...and I would give them a very good and loving home.
Happy blogoversary!! Enjoy your week off - I'm loving the beautiful blue skies today - makes all the snow look so pretty!
Congrats to you for keeping up your blog for a year. This can be a challenge. I agree that it is fun to connect with other weavers this way!
I love the texture and colors of these towels!
Happy Blog anniversary! I haven't commented before, and I'm a relatively new reader. I love your posts and envy your loom :)
Happy Blogoversary! I hope I'm able to make towels that look that nice a year from now on my new-to-me last week Spring loom.
Congratulations on your blogoversary!
I've had a craving for hand woven towels for a while and thought I might find some at a show put on by a local spin/weave guild, but no luck. it wasn't that sort of show. Perhaps an Etsy seller would have some. Or perhaps I had best learn to weave and make them myself. (Eeek! Yet another fiber hobby.)
Congratulations! The towels look great, and whoever'll get them is very lucky!
Happy blogoversary! I always enjoy your photos and reading your blog AND your comments on my own blog.
Enjoy your break.
Your towels are really lovely, very different from what I'm weaving. Congratulations to the person who will be receiving them!
It's hard to believe you have only starting weaving/blog a year ago. Great work. I love reading the blogs I have learned alot from them myself. Keep up the good work.
Happy B Day!!
Happy Blogoversary, Sue!
Your Toika loom looks familiar: I've a Toika myself and love it. You sure make lovely things on it.
Doesn't time fly when you're having fun?
Congratulations. Keep up the good work. I enjoy my visits. Chris
I am so happy you started writing a blog. I've enjoyed every posting and hope there will be many many many more.
Love the towels!!
Very nice!!
Don't you just love huck! El Esposo wanted me to comment so you would know that the anonymous Robert was my husband! He thought my blog name would come through when he commented. He didn't realize I have to be logged in for that to happen!
Happy anniversary! Your blog is great fun to read and I have it on my regular reading list!
Congratulations on your blog anniversary! Those towels don't deserve to be used, but displayed.
Now, being a guy, I can tell you that they might help me pack an extra present under the tree for the lovely Carol.
Just sayin.
Mike
Great Towels! Nice to see so many comments. Congratulations on your 1st year!
Happy blog anniversary! The dish towels are lovely.
I feel just the same about the community of like-minded weavers. Congratulations on the anniversary I have only been going here for a few months longer. Love your towels too!!!!!
Gorgeous towels! I would love to win them, although I would have a hard time using them to wipe up messes in my kitchen, they're so beautiful!
What beatiful color on those towels. They would brighten up any kitchen. I heard of your blog from Living Local NH, Virginia Claus. Thank you and blessings!
Congrats on your first year! What a great schievement! Have you seen Julie & Julia - the movie. Being a blogger I think you would enjoy it - especially with a 1 year anniversary! Saw it on the plan eon the way over
Congratulations! I'm glad you decided to blog because I've enjoyed meeting you, Bailey, your photography and your weaving. I wish you many blogiversaries to come!
I'll add my voice to the list. I love reading your blog, and find much inspiration and learning from your writing. Happy holidays!

Congrats on your first blogoversary! I recently had my 25,000th visitor - every milestone is fun and makes you realize how many good friends you have made. T.
P.S. Good job on the story of that aqua blue yarn - it's one of my favorite colors too!
Congratulations on your first bloversary! I've only had mine a few weeks and I am enjoying the exploation of new crative outlets.
Congratulations and Happy Blogoversary. I certainly have enjoyed reading your posts so thank you! -Renee
Happy Blogoversary! I tried weaving something like this in a weaving class. Ummm.... yea. Let me just say mine looked nothing like the instructors example. But, hey, it was fun anyway!
What a very generous giveaway. Thanks so much for the opportunity. Congrats on your first blogoversary -- that's a milestone. And yes, WEBS is wonderful....I just read through your recent entries. Oh, I love Portsmouth. We visited it on our second night of our honeymoon. It's a great little city. I remember eating dinner at a restaurant near the harbor and watching the draw bridge in action.
BEAUTIFUL towels!!!
And happy anniversary! I really enjoy your blog!
Buon Blog-Anniversario! (I thought in Italian it would sound nice!)
Lovely blog, lovely towels, happy anniversary with many more to come.
-Martha
