To celebrate spring, a couple of friends and I wove a few more prayer flags at Sarah Haskell's studio.
It's great fun playing with all of that yarn!
This flag is extra special because it is the very first time that one of my friends has woven!!
It's not too late for you to send in a message, or visit Sarah's studio in Maine to help weave flags!!

That is a neat way to introduce weaving to someone. Not intimidating and quickly satisfying. It'll be interesting how your friend moves from here!
Love the new banner!
And I like the prayer flag thing much better than the "tea party thing" we saw happening this week.
This looks like great fun! What do you do with the flags afterwards, do you hang up like in Nepal?
Oh how fun! What a perfect way to spend a day and introduce someone to weaving!
LOL, prayer flags are certainly better than tea bags! ;-)
We will hang our prayer flags outside, like in Nepal. I have the spot where I'll put mine chosen, but I feel like I want it to be warmer and leafier outside before I release them into the wild!
I'll be interested to see if my friend will be bitten by the weaving bug as a result of this experience. I think her interest in this experience wasn't as focused on the weaving as it was on the whole idea of the project....so we'll see.

This appeals to me very much, I am going to look into making these. As soon as I'm finished with my 80 dishtowels and my coat and my purse...and, and, and!
Thanks for showing us these beautiful and loving treats.
If only I could pick up my loom and take it to the beach and let people weave, ah, that would be great!
I agree with Valerie, pray flags are a whole lot better than the "tea party thing". What a fun and interesting idea!
