Remember how I did not appreciate the Digital Photography School assignment "Machinery" last week? I actually groaned when I read that the assignment this week is "Trucks".
I really don't have a favorite truck.
For a few days I took my small camera everywhere I went, and was surprised at how many trucks are on the road. We love trucks in NH I guess!
I finally realized that maybe I could photograph fun and colorful trucks (a Life Looms Large requirement) if I visited Stratham Fair after the fair closes.
The rides which have been in place all weekend werefolded up and loaded on trucks.
Fun and colorful!! Problem solved!
Doesn't this truck look like it's headed off for more fun?? Hope you are too!!

Once you get into a good attitude the inspirations just roll! I really like the first truck-fried dough is one of my favorite things!
I don't think you on the other side of the ocean know what colorful trucks you have, when visiting I always notice the trucks, the pictures you have are even more so!
Amazing! Nice photos, and interesting how the photo classes get you to go out and see things you didn't expect to find.
What great photos of trucks!!!! Each one is so different and interesting.
Great trucks, and great photos, for sure! The pumpkins are my favorite picture - wonder where they're headed next!
LOL, I think I should send Carolyn to run away with the carnival! Love the pictures but that dragon ride really caught my eye. What a wonderful "spin" on an assignment.
Good for you - create the awful assignment and make it great! Excellent trucks and definitely brought a smile to my face!
It has been interesting how the photo class has made me notice and photograph things I would never feel inspired by otherwise.
In my weaving, I tend to eschew guild challenges and study groups - feeling like I want to listen to my own creative voice. But the photo school makes me wonder about that. By pushing me in different directions, I think I become more well-rounded and learn to find a way to do an assignment and stay true to my creative vision.
Interesting to hear that our love affair with trucks in the US is noticeable to visiting Europeans. I was definitely surprised at how many trucks there were all around me. They're definitely not something I usually notice!
Thanks for your comments!
