The foliage at our house is past peak, settling into late autumn browns, golds, greens and russets.
A short walk this afternoon in nearby Portsmouth, NH revealed peak foliage, especially around Strawbery Banke.
Beautiful!

Oh, that looks beautiful...
Wow! I have really been enjoying your fall posts -- thank you!
Excellent color!!! I tend to look at how nature combines colors - those would make a great weaving!
Aaaaahhhh!!! So vivid, and so lively!
This is jsut fantastic, the colors are amazing! Here everything is brown, grey and white now.
The colors are incredible-just adds a zip to your step!
So very beautiful, seems we get autumn colours and rain at the same time here! Love the photos
Fall colors are my favorite.
Beautiful photos!!!!!
Thanks for the happy photo feedback! I appreciate it!!
Believe it or not, in the towns right around where I live, we haven't had a truly spectacular fall. We had two windy rainstorms at key times, so the leaves didn't all get a chance to turn colors before they were blown off in those storms.
In particular, there was this farmhouse that I kept driving by, waiting to show you the 100 year old maples surrounding the house in all of their glory. They went from green to slightly yellow to gone. In most years, they're green, yellow and then a spectacular orange and red show.
I guess that means I can blog about fall again next year!!!

I adore Portsmouth! So nice to Strawberry Banke is full autumn flush... Love your photos! (Curious as to which window photo your prof liked, think I'll go check that post to see if you mentioned it...)
