DPS: Dessert

Food photography is surprisingly difficult.

Take something delicious, and try to photograph it. Often it looks awful.

Digital Photography School has the theme "Food" for the month of February. The first assignment is "Dessert".

I considered cooking something photogenic, but decided to buy a few desserts at Popovers.

The fruit tart looked best in photos.

I shot these photos on our porch with the early morning sun shining on the tart.

It was 17° F (-8 ° C).

Perhaps I'm getting more eccentric the longer I live in New Hampshire!

Mm I can feel the taste of blueberrys and strawberrys...

Nice pictures to start the early morning with.

Here on Digernes its 15 minus C.
Its also snowing.... strange...
Im waiting for my husband to come home from work. Hes been driving the mail betwen Kongsvinger and Oslo this night.
Im a bit nerveous because there is snowing and the roads get so slippery. The wrong word but I hope you know what I mean.
Then its time for bed a few hours.

Have a nice wednesday.
Hugs.

The first. I have come to trust my eye. Almost always the first shot is the one I go with.

Eccentric, naw, you're just keeping the just desserts chilled! ;-)
I'm with Sharon, first shot! Nice of the class to put dessert first. So it should be in life too.

Looks like a yummy dessert!

My father lives in FL and he puts on a jacket when the temp drops to 70 - and here at our house, we tend to go out with just a heavy sweater (no jacket) when it "warms up" to 40. We were laughing the other day realizing how opposite this is!! :)

Yummy!!!

17 degrees, huh? Still I wonder if the very cold temps didn't help make the food look good...

That looks really good! And, I like your photo. It works well - since it made me hungry!

I have often wondered what a job as a food stylist would be like!

If you covered it in whipped cream, it would be perfect! We are tired of the 'chilly' here in FL, too.......

I love the effect of the glass behind/beneath the dessert; it's very pretty...and the dessert looks fabulous! This is the time of year when I really start to crave fresh fruit and vegetables and that looks delicious. :)

This is just not fair. You post this wonderful picture of food and we can't eat it. MMMMM looks so good!!!!!!!

We're snowed and I can't even get out to get the ingrediences to make something that looks this good. You've sure out done yourself this time!!!!

What dedication to buy a tart for your exercise! What sacrifice to go out in such cold weather to take a picture! You don't have a window that faces the east????
