Lobster Shells

After a lobster feast, there's usually a bowl of lobster shells on the table.

After a bit of knitting, there's a claw, the lobster tail, the body and the unstuffed lobster head in a bowl on our kitchen table. Another claw is on the needles.

I'm starting to believe I really will complete this project before we head to the beach in a month! Fingers crossed!!!

I am absolutely terrible about deadlines....and I don't know why I'm suddenly breaking my vow not to knit on a deadline. I do love this project. So fun!!

Heading to NEWS bright and early tomorrow. If you don't hear from me all weekend, it means I'm so engrossed in the yarn warehouse at WEBS that I can't pull myself away!!

(If you don't hear from me by early next week....send a search party!!)

I love the lobster, it looks great and it must be fun to knit something else than socks, mittens or sweaters.

So far, so good, Sue. A knitted lobster is an adorable idea ... and the placemats look terrific.

I did find the sun in my travels - and I hope it continues to shine on New England for a bit. We need to dry out!

I can't say that I'll be knitting drawn butter to go with the lobster, but I do wonder about knitting a sea urchin with that funky green yarn I bought at Hub Mills.

Our beach vacation will be northward - in Maine, land of lobsters!!

It all seems very far away at the moment, as I lie in my tiny dorm bed at NEWS...but it will be here soon enough!!

Take care!
Sue
