Twin Lobster Dinner

Around these parts, the twin lobster dinner is a local tradition. (Or at least it's advertised as a local tradition - I can't say I've ever eaten 2 lobsters in one meal.)

Restaurants advertise their twin lobster dinner prices on signs outside.

Two knitted lobsters on a plate

The newest lobster in all of its glory

I used 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Donegal Chunky Tweed in Color 29212o for this second lobster on size 5 double-pointed needles.

The mottled color and wool material of this yarn make an exceptional lobster toy, if I do say so myself.

Ready to be gifted to their new homes! Perfect as hostess gifts for our hosts in Maine!!

Bye bye!

I did it! I met my knitting deadline with time to spare!!! Phew!!!

LOL! I was going to berate you for the cruelty of posting the remains of a twin lobster dinner! And I have tackled the twins. I usually end up taking the tail meat home from the second for lobster salad. The last double dinner though, the poor waitress never got my comment that the two lobsters didn't strike me as twins. File that under obnoxious diner. :-)
But back to your two cuties. They are just adorable and safe around wine bottles too! If I was your host, I would be thrilled. Way to go Sue.

Theresa....congrats on tackling twins and living to joke about it!

Glad that even the non-lobster-crazy among us think the lobsters are cute!

And thanks for the deadline meeting congratulations! I might start knitting or weaving other gifts too after a long hiatus. (Still mulling that over though!)

I guess the proof of the gift will be in the giving, right??

Your lobster are too cute!!!!!

Love the pictures you took of them especially the one on the plate. I think it's the way you added the eyes that gave each one it's own personality.

The eyes have it!

I didn't realize when I was making them that the eyes were different, but they really are noticeable in the pictures!!

Can't wait to gift these!!
